Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect
The Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect is a New York-based advocacy organization that promotes the R2P norm.
The Global Centre issues reports and statements, and is an excellent source for resolutions, statements and documents on R2P, such as UN General Assembly debates. It is also a useful resource on the fundamentals of the R2P norm, and current developments and crises. Its reports focus on countries at particular risk, and do not include quantitative/statistical risk assessments. It thereby differs from risk assessments from for example the Early Warning Project at the USHMM.
R2P Monitor / Populations at Risk
These qualitative evaluations are issued every second month. They have been issued since January 2012. All are available here. The reports present three categories of countries: Current crisis, imminent risk, and serious concern. The number of countries covered has ranged between 8 and 19. The publications cover themes like: background, analysis, international response and necessary action. The R2P-monitors refer to a large degree to statements from UN and other international actors.
